Ralph Müller is Full Professor of German Literature and its Didactics at the bilingual University of Fribourg (Switzerland). He graduated with a Ph.D. in German Literature in 2003. From 2004 to 2007 he was a National Fund scholar abroad at the University of Lancaster (UK), the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (NL), the Institute for German Philology, and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (DE). He habilitated in 2009 and received his venia legendi for German literature of the University of Fribourg. Research interests include genre theory in lyric poetry and narrative, metaphor, comedy, and contemporary literature, among others, with a focus on Swiss literature.
