Barnabé, Christophe

Christophe Barnabé is Lecturer in French at New College, University of Oxford. A scholar of French and Comparative Literature, he works on modern and contemporary poetry, with particular interests in the relations between poetry and other forms of knowledge. His first book, Survivance du charme. Le poème et l’idée de guérison (MētisPresses, 2025), explores the relationship between poetry, healing, magic, and medicine in post-war Europe. His current project examines poetic testimony in the context of twentieth-century mass violence.
