Fernando Cabo Aseguinolaza is professor of Spanish and Comparative Literature at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where he received his doctorate in 1990 with the thesis «El concepto de género y la picaresca española del Siglo de Oro». His research interests are particularly in poetry, Spanish literary history, and literary criticism.
