Strohmaier, Paul

Paul Strohmaier teaches French and Italian Literature at the University of Trier. He studied Comparative Literature, Romance Philology, and English Literature in Tübingen. In 2016, he received his PhD from the University of Trier for a thesis on "This Side of Language. Immanence as a Paradigm in Modernist Poetry (Valéry, Montale, Pessoa)." From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Historical-Cultural Studies Research Center (HKFZ) at Trier University and conducted research on "Spaces of Knowledge. Travel as Epistemic Concept". From 2018 to 2021 he was a member of the DFG-funded network "Para-Societies. Parallel and Alternative Social Formations in Contemporary Cultures and Literatures".
